What is Panhellenic?

The Panhellenic Community is comprised of nineteen all women's chapters each with houses on the Indiana University campus. Each chapter works together with the Panhellenic Association Executive Council to keep improving the Greek and Indiana University community to be the best that it can be. The 2009 Panhellenic Executive Council strives to continue and expand the positive changes that have begun within the Greek Community. Because of our shared values, we want to foster an environment of respect and unity among all chapters.

As an Executive Council, we will work to be a resource and guide for all chapters.  We facilitate weekly Gavel meetings, work with the Student Activities Office to provide member education programs, sponsor and involve members in a variety of leadership development programs, and act as an overall representation for the entire Panhellenic Community.  We also communicate with chapters to keep them informed about and involved with the overall community of IU and Bloomington.

We hope to inspire each chapter to work towards their full potential, therefore improving the entire Panhellenic and Greek community.

Mission Statement:

To foster a spirit of respect, creating unity among all Panhellenic Women.

To inspire positive change within individuals, chapters, and the community based on our shared values, purpose, and sisterhood.

To challenge chapters to grow and progress through living the ritual and empowering and inspiring each individual member.
